Police talk say Collete try hard to keep her pikin head above the water. When dem see her half mile from the scene. Jordyn still dey hold her mama body wey dey foat ontop water already.

Carol Riley, one spokesperson for Beaumont Police Department talk say she save the pikin life.

She say,

‘They were in the water for quite some time. The mother did the best she could to keep her child up over the water.
‘The baby also had a backpack that was helping her float on her back and she was holding on to her mom.’
